Friday Favorites- Quotes

Thanks to all of my wonderful peeps on Twitter, I am constantly adding to my quote collection. As I was reading through my "Favorites" recently I decided posting some of them here would be a great way to share them with you. So, without further ado.......

@DanielDecker It’s not "what we have" that separates us from God; rather it’s "what has us" that really matters.

@Kmac4him Don't ask God to guide your footsteps if you are unwilling to move your feet. Quote by Dr. John Maxwell

@GailHyatt "Prayer is not asking for what you think you want, but asking to be changed in ways you can't imagine."~Kathleen Norris

@annieblogs I want to spend more time being grateful for what God has given me and less time being frustrated when my expectations aren't met.

@carol1069 Every stronghold is related to something we have exalted to a higher position than God in our lives. - Beth Moore

@YouQuotedQuotes Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it. Lou Holtz

4th of July cont...

After spending the afternoon by the pool, we enjoyed the rest of our 4th of July with food, fellowship, and fun at LFBC before heading to my aunt's house for fireworks. Mickey, Mackaylan and I enjoyed the food (esp. the homemade ice cream) and the time we were able to spend with those we love. I am still a novice with my Nikkon camera so most of the pictures from our family fireworks extravaganza did not turn out. However, I decided to go ahead and post a few for your viewing pleasure:

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July! We spent the majority of the afternoon by the pool with some of our "besties"- the Greene's. The kiddos enjoyed swimming and jumping off the diving board while the daddys competed in various competitions and the mommys relaxed!! In my opinion, there is no better way to spend a day! Trust me, I have lots of pictures from our afternoon together, but for the sake of time, I am only posting a few:

More on our 4th of July holiday tomorrow......

Camping Fun!

Last night we went on a short camping excursion with some of our best friends. Nestled just a few miles up the road in the Pisgah National Forest, Lake Powhatan provided us a primitative camping experience with the luxuries of a "beach" swimming area, scheduled activities for the kids, and access to new, clean, bathrooms! We all had a wonderful time swimming, eating, and relaxing! It was a great way to kick off our 4th of July weekend!
