Friday Favorites

Hey y'all!  This post has been sitting in my phone waiting for me to post it so here it goes!

I hope you have had a great week. The weather here hasn't been the best, but as long as all the rain ushers in cooler weather I'll deal with it! Here are a few faves from this past week:

--BRAIDS--

I have been able to French braid my hair for a while now, but haven't been very successful with braiding Mac's hair. However, on Saturday, the stars aligned and it happened-- on the first attempt! The best part was she loved it! It totally made this Mama's heart happy!

--FAMILY BIRTHDAY PARTY--

We had a great time last weekend celebrating Rory's 4th birthday with family! The kiddos enjoyed swimming and playing outside together while the adults were able to spend time catching up. Of course, the food was also delicious and the cake from Publix was awesome!!

--FAMILY FUN NIGHT--

We had plans to go to the fair last Friday, but the rain kept us away. So... we packed up and headed to the movies. We went to see Dolphin Tale 2. Mackaylan actually visited Tampa this summer with Grams so it was pretty neat for her to see it on the big screen. We all enjoyed the movie and Lydia did okay, but sitting still and quiet for over an hour is definitely not her thing! Lol :) Overall, we had a fun night and loved being with each other!

--SWEET SISTERS--

Mackaylan is trying to save money for a new American Girl doll and I must admit that I have been using it to my advantage! On Sunday I told her that we would pay her $5 if she would play with Lydia for an hour and a half and let us take a nap. The only stipulation was no one could go outside and we didn't want to hear any crying. Well, two hours later, I went upstairs and found Lydia sweetly tucked in for a nap and Mac was watching a movie! SCORE!! Needless to say, she earned $7 because they had played well together AND Lydia took a nap!!

-- DADDY'S GIRL--

There are no words to describe how much I love this picture and the people in it!  Lydia is definitely a mama's girl, but she loves her daddy so much!  She is such a cuddle bug and loves to give hugs and kisses!

Well, that's it!  I hope your week is off to a great start! :)
