Picture Post

I am trying to be consistent with blogging, but the end of the school year is CrAzY and super busy so I decided to extend a little grace to myself and just do a picture post!

A post in the near future will detail the crazy turn of events that have brought Mickey back home and turned our little world upside down (in a wonderful way!)

(We love spending time on the hammock at Grams and Pop-O's house!)

On Thursday while Mackaylan was in tumbling, my mom and I went to a consignment sale that was closing down for the spring so everything was 75% off. We scored quite a few good deals including this doll house for Lydia!

(The sisters playing nicely together with Lydia's new house. This is not always the norm so I had to document it!)

Speaking of Lydia, she has been having spells of unexplainable fevers. We just went through this on Easter and they finally treated her for a bacterial infection but they weren't sure of the exact cause. Well, they are back! So, after a visit to the  doctor's office yesterday, he ran a few test that were negative, but said if she still is having them on Momday he wants her to come back and he is going to do some extensive bloodwork. Right now she is playing and fever free. Let's pray she stays that way!!

(Lydia loved having Mackaylan in the office with her. She read her lots of books and put on a "puppet show!")

Last night we were able to visit Mickey at work and check out his new office! We are so blessed that he was offered an opportunity to return to Sloan and for us to be able to stay close to our families!

(This pic will be framed soon!)

And last but not least, another shot of Hogback! This mountain symbolizes so much to me, but most importantly- HOME!!

Mother's Day

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day! We were able to spend the day with both sets of parents which is always a bonus!

We started the morning with a wonderful worship service complete with awesome praise and worship and red roses (for ALL the ladies - not just moms!)

After church, we enjoyed a delicious steak lunch and relaxing afternoon with The Rush Family. Lydia loved playing with Rory and Mackaylan even got a few snuggles with Levi. The afternoon was full of hammock-swinging, corn hole-throwing, and porch-sitting!

To end the day, we went to my sister's house for supper. We picked up pizza on the way and she made wings, salad, and brownies for a little special touch! ;) After dinner, we showered mom with a few special gifts, played a little bball, and shares lots of laughs trying to get a picture of the "Bagwell Beauties!" Lol

We had a wonderful day spending it with those we love most! We are very blessed to have our moms to share life with each day! I can only hope they realize how special they are to us and how much we love them every day not just Mother's Day!!

Turning 9 Is Mighty Fine!

This year for Mackaylan's birthday she was going to settle for nothing other than a sleepover! While I am all about a sleepover (many fond childhood memories!) I was a little apprehensive with the idea since we are still living with Mickey's parents. However, Grams and Pop O are cool like that so adding 3 more girls to this "madness" was a-okay! The list originally started out with 6 girls, but was pared down to 3 (with a promise to have the other 3 at another time).

We started the evening with pizza for dinner. Pizza is not really a really a favorite of Mackaylan's, but she loves cheese sticks, and who could go wrong with  cinnamon sticks instead of cake?!? Perfect!

After dinner the girls decided it was time to open presents. It was so sweet to see what each girl bought for her. They really  put a lot of thought into their gifts which made it very special!

Next up was a spectacular theatrical presentation of "Let It Go" and the viewing of several movies before finally turning in for the night.

On Saturday morning the girls made journals before it was time for everyone to go home. It was neat to see each of their personalities come out through their designs.

The girls got along perfectly and everyone seemed to have a great time. I look forward to watching these girls grow up together. I have a feeling it's going to be one CrAzY ride!! :)
