Project Life- Week 6

This week was I Love to Read Week at school. I thought it would be appropriate to include pictures from the events each day in my Project Life album. I love my job and my work defines who I am. I consider my school my second home. I consider myself very blessed that I love going to work each day, and I am able to call my colleagues my friends! Since many of the pictures I took are of students and teachers, I am not going to post my pics on the blog this week. However, rest assured that one from each day will be included in the album. The picture above is from Word Day. I was masquerade! Even though Mackaylan is not at "mommy's school" yet, she decided to participate! She has already decided that next year she will be unique. I couldn't imagine any other word fitting her better!

Our Life

As I was sitting thinking of how I wanted to post something new, I found much needed inspiration in Karmen's blog post titled Just a Dose of Us. So, here it goes....

Mackayalan is growing up so fast! She is beginning to really enjoy reading and writing and anytyhing "school-like!" Tonight we played Librarian. In this game someone called in an order for a book and she made it for you. She was making books about anything from groundhogs to 4-wheelers. In normal KK fashion as she was delivering the book to the rightful owner, she piled a few of her barbies and dolls onto the couch (aka car.) Then, she put the cat in the front seat with her. After she made sure everyone was "buckled" she looked up at me with those adorable blue eyes and said, "Look mom! A cat driving with her whispers! You don't see that everyday!" She always keeps us in stitches.

Mickey has been out of town this week. He has been in San Francisco with his company. I'm glad he has had a great time, but I am so ready for him to be home! He comes in tomorrow afternoon and has already called in his order for dinner! LOL This weekend is filled with another trip for him-- his first 4-wheeler race of this season. He races in 2 different circuits: Mid-East and GNCC. The weather looks like it is going to be very pleasant, possibly in the 60's, and that is good news for all involved!

Classes have started back up for me for the Spring term. It makes life very busy, but the pay-off will be worth it. As far as work is concerned, this week at school has been I Love to Read Week and each day has been filled with exciting reading related activities. I love the part of my job that allows me to plan and implement these types of events. On another note, my eye has stopped twitching! After a plea out to my Tweets, I think @christiethein hit the nail on the head with letting me know I needed rest. I went to bed extra early last night and I have not had one episode today.

With that being said, I am off to bed now.........

Good Night!

Thanks to Mandi I spent waaaaaay to long on the internet this afternoon creating a **free** photocard at Scrapblog. If you haven't been to the site then click on over there right now. Many of the features are free, but even those that cost "credits" are worth the small amount of money. Be sure to check out Mandi's free photocard too. I can only hope that my next card will look as good as the one she created. She is a pro!

Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Need a laugh?

Last night Mackaylan and I picked up Chick-fil-a on the way home from Walmart. Mackaylan had her usual- a Chicken Nuggets Kid's Meal and I had Chicken Strips. I only ate half of my meal in order to take the rest for lunch today, so I put the rest in the fridge. Later on, I heard Mackaylan rummaging around in the kitchen. All of a sudden she came rushing in the living room with what she thought was her box of nuggets shouting, "Mom, look how much they grew!"

seeing each other and we pick up right where we left off!
Mackaylan loves when we have "Saturday School!"
Hey, when your mom's a teacher what do you expect?

I. Heart. Sundays.

I heart Sunday afternoons. The house is quiet. Mackaylan is napping. Mickey is catching up on some much needed zzzzzzzs. And even I was able to squeeze in a short nap before my to-do list woke me up! What should I be doing? Finishing up my Bible study. Laundry. Dishes. Laundry. Uploading pics for Project 365. Laundry. Making the grocery list. Yet, here I sit- and that is just what I love about Sunday afternoons!!

What a blessing....

Mackaylan (age 4:) "Mom, turn it up. It's the 'Leveration Song.' This is the song daddy is going to sing in heaven while we dance!"
