We ate breakfast at a neat little cafe. The food was delicious, but we both agreed that it was a little over priced. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the morning sipping hot chocolate, talking, and enjoying being together! After breakfast we walked around downtown a little. Mickey is a pretty big history buff so he enjoyed reading many of the historical landmarks while I snapped pictures. It was rainy and cold so we cut our morning adventure short and returned to the room for some R&R. :)
On late Saturday afternoon, we decided to take one of the trolley tours in order to see the entire city. Our guide was wonderful. He had actually grown up in Savannah so he had lots of personal stories to share. Mickey and I were both amazed at all of the movies that had been shot in the city, and the history is just amazing!
As you can see, we had a wonderful weekend away. It was nice to relax, reconnect, and rejuvenate! It is so neat to think that we have been married for 8 years (together for more than 12), yet we still love being together and enjoy each other's company! I am so blessed!
